What a whirlwind of a summer! I'm still working on posts about Aspen
Grove and Hilton Head, but here are some other things that we did to finish off the
summer (I don't want to get too far behind and forget about some of the little things we did, so I'm going to post things out of chronological order):
We got back from Utah and had about two weeks
to get ready for Hilton Head. We made sure to find time to go for walks
and play at the park while the weather is still nice out. Hilton Head
was awesome, but there will be a post all about that in the near
future. When we got home from South Carolina we had a few more days to
play with Aunt Ruth, Grady, Allie and Ian. They were at Nana's, so
after breakfast we headed over there to play each day. Monday we all
had Mr. Freeze as a special treat. The boys liked the ice cream, but after a few bites they
were more excited about the playground and ran off.
Tuesday
we had a fun morning at the Zoo. We met up with Nana, Aunt Ruth
and her kids, Aunt Becky and her kiddos, and Aunt Anna and Trace. We even rode on
the 50 year old Carousel by the aquarium. The name of Abe's horse was
Cream and Eli's was Mya.. They loved the ride, but Abe was ready for it to stop by the
time it was over. Eli on the other hand could have stayed on his horse all day. He was pretty heart broken when it was time to be done.
Ruth and her kids left Wednesday evening, and Thursday morning Abe and Eli were asking
where they were and were disappointed to hear that they were in Utah
instead of Nana's house. The rest of this week was pretty uneventful.
School started, so most of the kids are away to
school all day or preschool. We will get into a routine ourselves, and that will be
nice.
