Poor Andy

So, Andy and the boys like to wrestle and play around. Thursday night Eli was going to tackle Andy, and went head first into Andy's chest. Andy said his collar bone was sore, but thought he was just bruised or something. He has been taking medicine for the pain, which really tells me he is hurting because he doesn't like to take medicine. EVER.

A friend of ours at church is an orthopedic surgeon, so Andy asked him to look at his collar bone and give his opinion. He told Andy it was dislocated, and that you have to hit the bone really hard there to have that happen. I guess I didn't realize just how hard Eli got him.

The bad news is there is nothing that can be done to fix it because it's the joint where the clavicle and sternum meet. Even if it had been broken it's not like a cast can be put on the clavicle. So pretty much Andy is going to have to deal with the pain until his muscles adjust to the new position of his collar bone. Poor guy.
